This 1968 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova coupe was delivered new in Grecian Green over a black vinyl interior, and its numbers-matching L79 327ci V8 is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is said to have been refurbished under previous ownership around twenty years ago, and modifications include 15″ wheels and front disc brakes. The selling dealer acquired the car in September 2019 and has since replaced the brake master cylinder and booster, the fuel pump, and the battery. This L79 Nova is now offered with receipts from the refurbishment, recent service records, removed factory wheels and brakes, and a clean Florida title.
The exterior was refinished in its factory-delivered single-tone Grecian Green (H-H) approximately twenty years ago, at which point the rear quarter panels reportedly were replaced. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown in the photo gallery below, including scratches and chips in the paint.
Body-color 15″ wheels have been mounted and wear Chevrolet hubcaps as well as Kumho Solus KR21 tires. Front disc brakes have also been installed, and the seller states that the removed smaller factory wheels and the factory front drum brakes will accompany the car. Service in March 2020 included a brake-fluid flush as well as replacement of the master cylinder and the brake booster.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats with black vinyl upholstery (731D).
A woodgrain steering wheel sits ahead of factory instrumentation that includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 features an orange cylinder block with a matching intake manifold and a chrome-finished air-cleaner assembly and valve covers. The engine was factory rated at 325 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque when new, and in March 2020 the fuel pump was replaced. Service records are shown in the gallery.
The stamped pad on the engine block exhibits a serial number that matches the car’s chassis number. The EP suffix on the right side of the pad indicates that this is a high-performance L79 327ci V8 that left the factory with a four-barrel carburetor.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The 12-bolt rear end is said to be equipped with a conventional differential and 3.31:1 gears. Additional photos presented in the gallery below show the underbody, K-member, suspension, and exhaust.
The included Fisher cowl tag indicates the factory color scheme, body number, and build date.
A clip showing the car accelerating is provided above.
