This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is a two-door hardtop said to have been retained by the original owner until the late 1990s, and it was purchased by the seller in 2005. Originally Capri Cream, the car was repainted in red under previous ownership, and the interior is upholstered in black vinyl. Power is provided by a 283ci V8 mated to a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Modifications include an SS-style hood, Cragar wheels, an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, and a chrome air-filter cover and valve covers. This Chevelle Sport Coupe is now offered with the removed factory hood, factory hubcaps, spare parts, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted in red during prior ownership approximately 20 years ago, and an SS-style hood was installed at that time. The seller notes that the factory hood in Capri Cream (T) is included in the sale. Additional exterior features include chrome side trim and a black vinyl hardtop. The seller notes a scuff on the passenger-side corner of the front bumper; a close-up photo is provided in the gallery below.
Cragar 14″ wheels are wrapped in Firestone Firehawk SS10 tires measuring 205/70 up front and 225/70 at the rear.
The interior is upholstered in black vinyl with matching door panels and carpeting, as well as woodgrain trim on the dash. Additional amenities include lap belts and a factory AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer displays just under 59k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller over 15 years of ownership.
The 283ci V8 has been modified with an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, a chrome air-cleaner cover and valve covers, and a set of aftermarket exhaust headers. The seller notes that the removed factory components are included in the sale, as pictured in the trunk. In 2019 the carburetor was rebuilt, the fuel pump was replaced, and the oil and filter were changed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The seller notes areas of dirt and corrosion on the underbody, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.
A cold start video is presented above.
