This 1958 Chevrolet Impala convertible was refurbished under prior ownership and acquired by the seller’s father in 2015 before being inherited by the seller in 2019. Power is provided by 348ci Turbo Thrust V8 fitted with triple two-barrel carburetors and linked with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. The car was refinished in red over red and tri-tone upholstery during the refurbishment. Equipment includes a power-operated white soft top, rear fender skirts, dual rear antennas, power steering, power front disc brakes, spinner-style wheel covers, power windows, and a dual exhaust system. This Tri-Power Impala convertible is now offered with a display board and an Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The car was stripped and repainted in red under prior ownership. Details include a power-operated white soft top, a broad grille, a wrap-around windshield, quad headlights, rear fender skirts, dual rear antennas, and chrome body-side trim, bumpers, and faux vents as well as a rear alcove that houses triple taillights on each side.
Red 14″ steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with 215/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial whitewall tires. A full-size spare is located in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The frame was sanded and epoxy-coated during the refurbishment.
The cabin features bench seats that were reupholstered in red vinyl with tri-tone cloth inserts. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, a lockable glovebox, an electric clock, power windows, and lap belts for all occupants. The radio does not work.
The two-spoke steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames a sweeping 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature as well as a dash-mounted ignition switch. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 369 miles, nearly all of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 348ci Turbo Thrust V8 is topped with triple two-barrel carburetors and features a dual-snorkel air intake assembly and an orange engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers. An oil change was performed recently.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. A replacement dual exhaust system has been installed.
The Ohio title displays a “Non-Actual Warning: Odometer Discrepancy” mileage notation.
