This Camaro RS was initially delivered to Good Chevrolet of Alameda, California, and it reportedly remained with its first owner until it was acquired by the current owner in July 2021. The car is finished in turquoise over black vinyl upholstery and powered by a replacement 400ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a black vinyl roof cover, 14″ American Racing wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, black side and hood graphics, concealed headlights, air conditioning, front bucket seats, woodgrain interior trim, and a Delco AM radio. This Camaro is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with an owner’s manual, Protect-O-Plate, initial purchase and registration documents, and a California title.
The body is finished in Tripoli Turquoise with a black vinyl roof cover in addition to a black hood stripe stretching to each body side. Exterior features include concealed headlights, “rally-sport” and “327” badging, a dual exhaust system, and chrome trim on the bumpers, wheel arches, and rocker panels. The seller notes the hood was repainted under prior ownership. The door weather seals were replaced in October 2016.
The 14″ American Racing five-spoke wheels are wrapped in 195/70 BFGoodrich Advantage tires up front and 245/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires out back. Equipment includes power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums along with power steering. The rear wheel cylinders were replaced in 2015.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl that stretches to the door panels. Woodgrain trim lines the center stack and shifter surround, and additional interior details include air conditioning, lap belts for four occupants, rubber floor mats, a dome light, and a Delco push-button AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears an “rs” center emblem and fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The fuel-level gauge and speedometer cable were replaced in 2015. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement 400ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and is equipped with a Rochester four-barrel carburetor. The ignition system was refreshed and the spark plugs were replaced in March 2015, the motor mounts were replaced in January 2016, and the oil was changed in June 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The clutch was replaced and a Hurst shifter was installed in June 2016. Additional underside images are provided in the gallery.
