This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS is a two-door sport coupe that is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission and finished in blue over Ivory vinyl upholstery. Additional features include 14” wheels with polished covers, engine-turned bright metal accents, power steering, bucket seats, and a Delco push-button radio. The car was acquired by the seller in 2019, and service under current ownership is said to have included replacing the distributor and the radiator. This Impala SS is now offered with spare parts, a battery charger, a workshop manual, and a Florida title.
The car left the factory finished in Lagoon Aqua (919) and was reportedly partially refinished under previous ownership. Features include quad headlights, chrome bumpers and trim, engine-turned metal side moldings, a driver’s side mirror, Impala SS badging, and a manual antenna. The passenger side of the front bumper needs adjustment, and paint chips and bubbling paint are detailed in the gallery below.
Steel 14” wheels wear SS-branded covers and are mounted with a mixed set of thin whitewall tires measuring 215/75 at each corner. A spare is stowed in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering and power-assisted brakes.
The low-back front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in Ivory vinyl upholstery that extends to the door panels. Interior details include engine-turned aluminum trim, a padded dashboard, a center console, manual-crank windows, Impala-embroidered floor mats, blue carpeting, a heater, and a locking glove compartment. The radio does not work, trim on the driver-side door panel is peeling, and signs of wear are visible on the dashboard, upholstery, and headliner. One of the switches on the heater needs adjustment, and the trunk shows signs of corrosion.
The two-spoke comfort-tilt steering wheel shows signs of wear and frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a fuel level gauge, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 63k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci Turbo-Fire V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Work under current ownership is said to have included replacing the radiator and the distributor.
