This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro was refinished in Butternut Yellow with black nose stripes and SS badging as part of a refurbishment completed under previous ownership in 2013. Power is provided by a numbers-matching 327ci V8, and the original automatic transmission has been replaced by a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold, an aftermarket camshaft, a four-barrel carburetor, long-tube exhaust headers, and Flowmaster mufflers. The selling dealer acquired this Camaro in June 2020, and is now offering it with a clean North Carolina title.
Originally white, the body was refinished in 2013 in Butternut Yellow with a black nose stripe. Features include front and rear bumper guards, SS badges, and front and rear spoilers. The selling dealer notes a crack in the paint below the left rear quarter window, cracks above each windshield top corner, and chips in the chrome on the top of the rear bumper.
17″ American Racing Torq Thrust M Wheels are wrapped in Nexen 5000 tires measuring 225/45 up front and 235/55 out back. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums, and the selling dealer states that the rear tires are worn to approximately 3/32″ of tread depth.
The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and door panels, black floor mats, and woodgrain veneers on the center console and the center of the dash. Amenities include a Hurst cue ball shifter, fresh air vents, and a push-button AM radio that is currently inoperable.
An aftermarket wood rimmed steering wheel features an “SS” horn cap and fronts factory instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 is fitted with an Edelbrock intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, an aftermarket camshaft, and long-tube exhaust headers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, which was swapped in place of the factory automatic transmission at some point during previous ownership.
The last eight digits of engine identification stamp match the last eight digits of the VIN on the dash, and the “ME” suffix indicates a 210 horsepower 327ci V8 with an automatic transmission.
