This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro was purchased new by the seller’s mother-in-law in Thousand Oaks, California and given to the seller’s wife a few years later. Power is from a 327ci V8 backed by a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Ivy Gold green metallic over a matching green vinyl interior. It was moved to San Francisco in 1991 and has been driven approximately 120k miles by the the seller’s wife. Replacement molded carpets in the original color have been added, and the seller also notes a newer battery and tires. This first-generation Camaro is now offered with California black plates, an upholstery kit, a few service records, and a clean California title.
This example comes from the second year of Camaro production and was refinished in Ivy Gold green metallic about 20 years go. Owned in San Francisco since 1991, the car has reportedly always been garaged and was serviced at the Ellis Brooks Chevrolet dealership on Van Ness until its closure. During the past couple of years the car has seen limited use, with the seller warming it up and occasionally taking it across the Golden Gate bridge to Marin County.
The interior is upholstered in a green vinyl, and the seller notes the front and rear carpeting has been replaced.
