This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was acquired by the current owner in 2013, and work completed in 2022 involved installing a 572ci V8 and a Tremec six-speed manual transmission in addition to a nitrous oxide system, Brodix cylinder heads, COMP Cams camshaft, Hooker headers, a McLeod clutch, an aluminum driveshaft, and a Ford 9″ rear end. The car is finished in orange with dual black stripes, and the color scheme extends to the interior, which houses bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in orange and black leather. Chip Foose wheels, hideaway headlights, B&M line lock, and a raised hood are also equipped. Audio components include a flip-out Kenwood multimedia head unit linked to JL Audio subwoofers. This modified Camaro coupe is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Oregon title.
The car left the factory finished in Rallye Green with a black top and was repainted orange with dual black stripes under prior ownership. The replacement raised hood was fitted following the owner’s acquisition. Additional exterior features include hideaway headlights, dual side mirrors, a rear spoiler, and chrome bumpers.
Chip Foose 18″ wheels are mounted with mixed tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs with a replacement booster and master cylinder. CalTracs traction bars and frame connectors are also fitted.
The replacement front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered in black and orange leather, and the headliner has been replaced. The driver’s seat is power-adjustable. A flip-out Kenwood multimedia head unit that also plays DVDs is linked to JL Audio subwoofers housed in the trunk. Orange LEDs illuminate the nitrous oxide system, which is also housed in the trunk. A Clifford car alarm system is installed along with a backup camera.
An aftermarket steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and fronts AutoMeter white-dial instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary readouts are mounted ahead of the shifter. The five-digit odometer shows 3,300 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
