This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro was acquired by the seller circa 1976 and was subsequently moved from Minnesota to California and finally Arizona. The car is finished in black over Ivory vinyl and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed Muncie manual transmission. Features include chrome side-exit exhaust pipes, 15″ Cragar wheels, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, an aftermarket steering wheel and tachometer, a Hurst shifter, and an AM/FM cassette stereo system. Service under the seller’s care has included a repaint, rust repair, replacement of the engine, and installation of front disc brakes and stainless steel brake lines. This Camaro is now offered with four keys, service invoices, car show documents, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted black after both front fenders were replaced due to rust. Exterior features include chrome side-exit exhaust pipes and chrome bumpers, as well as 327 and SS badges. Dents and blemishes in the paint are shown in the photo gallery below.
Staggered-width 15″ Cragar wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with front disc brakes and braided stainless brake hoses, and the seller reports that a rebuilt steering box was installed in 2019.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in Ivory vinyl with houndstooth inserts, together with matching rear seats, tan door panels, and black carpets. Features include an aftermarket steering wheel and tachometer, a Hurst shifter, woodgrain trim on the dashboard and center console, and an AM/FM cassette stereo system. The air conditioning does not blow cold air.
A three-spoke aftermarket steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and a Sunpro mini-tachometer mounted in between. The odometer has rolled over and shows 28k miles, approximately 55k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci V8 was installed by the seller in approximately 1980. It features “camel hump” heads, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, chrome valve covers, and aftermarket spark plug wires. The seller reports that the engine leaks oil.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Rust and oil residue appear on the undercarriage.
