1986 Pulse Auto Cycle – A Rare Find

Hey folks, we got another real cool piece we’re cleaning out our warehouse – something we’ve been meaning to do for years. We just have so many great items, but reluctantly we’re going to let a few go. This is a 1986 Pulse Auto Cycle, number 174 of only 347 built. These rarely become available on the market, and this one looks like it’s restored in beautiful condition. It’s titled as a motorcycle, rides on two wheels with the outer wheels only touching one of them at a time, never riding on more than three wheels. This one has an 1100 Honda V-Twin liquid cooled engine, reverse, and an airplane style cockpit with a slide back roof. Let’s start up front and walk around it.

Exterior and Design

The nose is in really nice shape with a few chips, all metal flake paint, and plexiglass covers over the headlights. The plexiglass windows are in excellent shape, crystal clear, and the rubber is soft. It has a cool design with an air intake panel to let air into the engine compartment. This is a street legal car known to get 80 miles a gallon because of its aerodynamics. It’s a two passenger tandem ride with an excellent sliding back window. The whole interior is in great shape, with redone upholstery, carpeting, and upholstered seats. It also features a stereo, motorcycle gauges, and a nice-looking dash. This vehicle has been sitting for about 15 years, but it ran great when we got it. It might need some service to make it roadworthy again, but it would be a conversation piece whether it’s just sitting in your collection or taken to a car or motorcycle show.
