This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was refurbished under previous ownership with work consisting of repainting the body, rebuilding the engine and transmission, and installing a replacement spoiler, stripes, rear leaf springs, and interior components. The car is finished in gold with two-tone Z28 stripes over tan vinyl upholstery and powered by a 350ci V8 mated to a T10 four-speed manual transmission and a 3.73:1 Positraction rear axle. Equipment includes a hood scoop, front and rear spoilers, faux fender vents, 15″ gold-finished wheels, power steering, power front disc brakes, Flowmaster mufflers, air conditioning, an electric clock, a Hurst shifter, a rear speaker, and a Kenwood CD stereo. This Z28 Camaro was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and is now offered in Illinois with a partial build sheet, service records, and a clean Michigan title.

Gold-finished 15″ wheels wear Z28 center caps as well as bright trim rings and are mounted with 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The leaf springs were replaced in 2017.
The seats were reupholstered in tan vinyl and additional equipment includes a center console, lockable glovebox, Hurst shifter, an electric clock, a rear speaker, and a Kenwood CD stereo. The air conditioning system was converted to utilize R134a refrigerant in 2023.
The rope-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 85k miles, approximately 15 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 350ci V8 was rebuilt and bored 0.030″ over in 2017 by G & B Machine Shop of Terre Haute, Indiana, and features a four-barrel carburetor and a blue-finished intake manifold and valve covers.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a T10 four-speed manual transmission and a 3.73:1 Positraction rear axle. The transmission was rebuilt in 2017 by Twin City Automotive of Charleson, Illinois. A dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers has been installed.
