This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 coupe is finished in white over black cloth upholstery and powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes Z28 graphics, front and rear spoilers, a Holley carburetor, exhaust headers, power front disc brakes, rear-mounted air shocks, painted 15″ wheels, and a Pioneer cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. The car was produced at GM’s Norwood, Ohio, plant, and was reportedly refurbished under prior ownership before it was recently acquired by the selling dealer. This Z28 is now offered with a clean Ohio title.
The body has been refinished in white accented with green Z28 graphics on the hood, doors, and tail panel. Exterior equipment includes a hood scoop, front fender vents, sport mirrors, and a rear spoiler. The condition of the finish is displayed further in the photo gallery below.
Painted 15″ wheels with Z28 center caps are fitted with BFGoodrich white-letter tires. A space-saver spare is located in the trunk. Z28 equipment includes front and rear sway bars, performance springs, and power-assisted front disc brakes. The seller notes air shocks have been installed at the rear, and a wheel alignment was completed in February 2022.
A black monochromatic treatment is carried throughout the interior, including the bucket seats, carpeting, door panels, and dash pad. The car features a period Pioneer AM/FM/cassette stereo, which is paired with a separate equalizer mounted under the dash. The headliner and rear parcel shelf are said to have been replaced under prior ownership.
Instrumentation is fronted by a rope-wrapped steering wheel and consists of a 130-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows just over 12k miles and has rolled over according to the selling dealer. The fuel gauge is noted to be inoperative, and the horn functions intermittently.
The 350ci V8 is topped with an Edelbrock intake manifold and a Holley carburetor, and further additions include a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers, aftermarket exhaust headers, and a pair of Flowmaster mufflers. The seller notes the alternator and battery were recently replaced.
