This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro has spent nearly three decades registered in California and was acquired by the current owner in 2000. It is powered by a 305ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in beige with brown pinstriping. Equipment includes 14″ Rally wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, and rear window louvers, while the cabin is outfitted with brown vinyl upholstery, air conditioning, a Delco AM/FM stereo, and front bucket seats. This Camaro is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a car show award, a records binder, a Vintage Chevrolet Club of America certificate, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in beige with brown pinstriping, and the front bumper cover is said to have been repainted. Exterior details include body-color front and rear bumpers, sport mirror housings, and bodyside moldings. The rear window louvers can be opened to clean the window. Close-up photos of the paint, trim, and imperfections are provided in the gallery, including a scrape on the right-rear quarter panel.
The 14″ Rally wheels feature body-color centers and polished trim rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires measuring 225/60 in front and 245/60 out back. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The front bucket seats and split rear seats are trimmed in Camel vinyl and are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and carpets. Amenities include an adjustable driver’s seatback, a Delco AM/FM stereo, and air conditioning as well as a fire extinguisher that is included in the sale.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer, a fuel level gauge, and warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 89k miles, approximately 40k of which were added under current ownership.
The 305ci V8 was factory rated at 130 horsepower. The car last passed a California emissions test in November 2022.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission, and a transmission fluid leak is present.
A car show award, a records binder, and a Vintage Chevrolet Club of America certificate are included in the sale.
