This 1978 Chevrolet Camaro LT was sold new by Reeder Chevrolet of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and was acquired by the current owner in December 2022. The car is finished in Dark Green over green vinyl upholstery and powered by a 350ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a cowl-induction hood, a rear spoiler, green-finished 15″ Rally wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, a Flowmaster exhaust system, a Hurst shifter, and a Bluetooth-capable Pioneer stereo. Work performed under previous ownership reportedly included the installation of a rear sway bar and rear air shocks as well as replacing the fuel system components and the front shocks and springs. This Camaro LT is offered on dealer consignment with 1977 sales paperwork, manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, spare headliner material, and a clean Ohio title in the current owner’s name.
The car was factory finished in Dark Green (48) and was reportedly repainted under previous ownership, at which time a steel cowl-induction hood was installed. A three-piece rear spoiler is fitted along with Type LT badging.
Green-finished 15″ Rally wheels with polished lips were refurbished and are mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires showing 2020 date codes. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Work performed under previously ownership reportedly included the installation of a rear sway bar and rear air shocks as well as replacing the front shocks and springs.
The front bucket seats and split rear bench are upholstered in green vinyl and complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels along with replacement carpets. Equipment includes a reclining driver’s seat, a Hurst shifter, and a Bluetooth-capable Pioneer stereo. Air conditioning components are present but the system has not been tested since summer 2022. The clock is inoperative, and the headliner is missing, though spare material is included in the sale.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles and is believed to have rolled over once. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was factory rated at 185 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. An engine stamping number is visible in the gallery below. The fuel tank, fuel pump, and fuel hoses were reportedly replaced under previous ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A Flowmaster exhaust system is fitted.
