This 1974 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was acquired by the current owner in August 1979 and is powered by a 350ci L-82 V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Light Gold Metallic over black vinyl upholstery and equipped with front and rear spoilers, Z28 graphics, 15″ wheels, a heater, and an AM/FM radio. This Z28 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a clean Oklahoma title in the owner’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Light Gold Metallic, was refinished in June 1988, and features black-and-white Z28 graphics on the hood and trunk lid. Equipment includes chrome bumpers with rubber trim, front and rear spoilers, Z28 fender badging, dual exhaust outlets, and a front grille reportedly sourced from a 1976 Camaro. Factory 15″ wheels with chrome-plated Z28 center caps are wrapped in 215/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. Work performed in 2012 at approximately 98k miles included machining the brake drums along with replacing the master cylinder, proportioning valve, front rotors, pads, and calipers as well as the rear wheel cylinders, and brake lines.
The cabin features front seats that were reupholstered in black vinyl in preparation for the sale along with a color-matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a heater, a replacement headliner, and an aftermarket AM/FM radio connected to Jensen speakers. The horn button was reportedly sourced from a 1978 Camaro. The seller notes that the dash pad is warped and that the interior of the glovebox needs to be replaced.
A four-spoke steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a clock, and gauges for fuel level, amperage, and coolant temperature. An aftermarket oil pressure gauge is installed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles, approximately 26k of which were added under current ownership.
The 350ci L-82 V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and a replacement head that was reportedly fitted during a 1982 engine rebuild. Work performed at approximately 98k miles in 2012 included replacing the radiator and cap, the choke thermostat, the drive belts, and the fuel lines. Additional work included draining and cleaning the fuel tank as well as rebuilding the carburetor. A replacement battery was installed in March 2022.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end and a limited-slip differential with a 4.10:1 ratio, according to the seller.
