This 1974 Chevrolet Camaro Type LT was acquired by the seller in 2013 and subsequent work consisted of installing GM Performance Parts 350ci V8 long block with a JEGS aluminum intake manifold, a revised camshaft, an Edelbrock carburetor, an HEI distributor, long-tube exhaust headers as well as a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, air conditioning, and a custom audio system. Finished in red with black graphics over black vinyl upholstery, the car is equipped with a 4.10:1 PosiTraction differential, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, 15″ Cragar wheels, a Hurst shifter, a Sony CD stereo and Xplod speakers, AutoMeter auxiliary instrumentation, and Flowmaster mufflers. This Camaro is offered with service records and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in red with black side and roof graphics and details include Camaro and Hurst badging, a cowl hood, recessed headlights, wrap-around taillights, a rear spoiler, dual sport mirrors, chrome bumpers, and stone guards.
The Cragar wheels are mounted with Dunlop SP50 front and Mastercraft Avenger G/T rear tires. The car features power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl and woodgrain accents the dashboard. Interior amenities include a perforated headliner, a center console, a Hurst shifter, a Sony CD stereo and Xplod speakers, Old Air Products air conditioning, Camaro-branded floormats, and a trunk-mounted subwoofer. A switch on the dashboard has been added to toggle the torque converter lockup.
The billet steering wheel frames a column-mounted tachometer, a 130-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, battery voltage, and coolant temperature. Autometer auxiliary gauges are mounted below the CD player. The five-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership.
The GM Performance Parts 350ci V8 long block was fitted in 2015 along with a JEGS aluminum intake manifold, a revised camshaft, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an HEI distributor, and long-tube exhaust headers. Chrome engine dress-up components have been installed. The seller reports that approximately 15k miles were added since the engine was installed.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed 700R4 automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle with a Positraction differential and 4.10:1 gears. An aftermarket dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers has been fitted. The transmission is said to have been fitted with a shift kit. The seller notes that the rear axle whines at particular speeds and the shifter gate only has three forward gear selections.
