This 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was refurbished and modified prior to the seller’s acquisition in June 2022, and work included refinishing the body in green, revising the suspension and brakes, and installing a 6.2-liter LS3 V8, a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, and a 9″ rear axle. Additional equipment includes a carbon-fiber hood, trunk, and spoiler as well as carbon-fiber-shell bucket seats, 19″ and 20″ Vertini wheels, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, Ridetech coilovers, a roll bar, and Vintage Air air conditioning. This modified Z28 is now offered in Canada with Ontario registration.
The exterior is said to have been refinished in British Racing Green as part of the refurbishment in addition to installing an Anvil carbon-fiber hood, trunk, and spoiler. Features include body-colored mirrors, hood pins, Z28 badging, and chrome bumpers. Blemishes are noted on the right mirror, driver’s door, hood, and rear wheel wells. The seller reports that the keys will start the car and open the trunk but do not work for the door locks.
Black-finished 19″ and 20″ Vertini wheels are wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires measuring 285/30 up front and 335/25 out back. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. Additional equipment includes a Wilwood brake booster, power steering, Art Morrison front suspension components, four-link suspension, and Ridetech coilovers.
The cabin features carbon-fiber-shell bucket seats that were reportedly sourced from a first-generation Ford GT and are equipped with Takata five-point harnesses and ventilation grommets. Additional features include a Detroit Speed roll bar, an aftermarket vintage-style AM/FM radio, a Hurst shifter, and Vintage Air air conditioning.
The leather-wrapped Momo Prototipo steering wheel frames a carbon-fiber panel housing Classic Instruments Autocross gauges consisting of a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for battery voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 2,200 miles, approximately 250 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The seller notes that the 6.2-liter LS376 V8 crate engine was installed under previous ownership and is equipped with an aluminum radiator, dual Spal fans, and a fabricated fuel tank. A refurbished alternator was installed in July 2022.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9″ rear axle with a 3.70:1 final drive ratio, according to the seller. Corrosion is noted near the left-side lift points.
