This 1973 Chevrolet Camaro was acquired by the seller in May 2016 and subsequently underwent a refurbishment and modification process completed later that year, which included installing a Blueprint Engines 383ci stroker V8 paired with a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission. The car was refinished in orange with white stripes under prior ownership, and additional equipment and modifications include FiTech electronic fuel injection, an Eaton limited-slip differential, a forged rotating assembly, Hotchkis suspension components, chrome 18″ wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, power steering, a cowl-induction hood, front and rear spoilers, SCAT bucket seats, AutoMeter gauges, a Hurst shifter, and a RetroSound Bluetooth stereo wired to Kicker speakers. This modified Camaro is now offered with a build summary, door sill protectors, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body was refinished in its current shade of orange with white stripes on the hood and trunk lid using House of Kolor two-stage paint under prior ownership in October 2016. Details include front and rear spoilers, chrome bumpers, a cowl-induction hood, tinted windows, color-keyed side mirrors, Z28-badging, and a black taillight panel. The seller notes the glass was replaced as part of the refurbishment and Fesler Built taillights are installed.
Chrome 18″ five-spoke wheels wear Nitto NT555 tires measuring 225/45 up front and 285/35 out back. Hotchkis suspension components are installed and consist of tubular front control arms, front and rear sway bars, subframe connectors, and lowered leaf springs. Front coilover shocks are equipped as well as power steering and Wilwood power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.
The SCAT front bucket seats and contoured rear bench are upholstered in black leather and complimented by replacement PUI door panels. Additional interior details include Z28-logo floor mats, billet alloy door sill protectors, a Hurst T-handle shifter, and a RetroSound AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo wired to four Kicker component speakers.
The leather-wrapped Lecarra steering wheel fronts AutoMeter Phantom instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. A digital Go-EFI fuel injection module is installed ahead of the shifter. The digital odometer shows 6k miles. Total chassis mileage is unknown.
The hood opens on Ring Brothers billet alloy hinges to reveal a Blueprint Engines 383ci V8 that was reportedly bored 0.040″ over and fitted with the following components:
- FiTech electronic fuel injection
- Ported cylinder heads with stainless-steel valves
- Eagle forged crankshaft and connecting rods
- Keith Black pistons and rings
- COMP Cams camshaft
- Edelbrock Performer intake manifold
- March serpentine belt drive
- MSD ignition system
- Polished alternator
- Tuff Stuff power steering pump
- BeCool aluminum radiator with dual Flex-A-Lite fans
The engine bay has been painted in the PPG shade of Storm Gray, and an Optima red top battery is mounted in the trunk.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission with a McLeod Racing hydraulic clutch. The rear axle reportedly houses an Eaton limited-slip differential and Moser 31-spline axles. The exhaust system features coated Sanderson long-tube headers flowing through an X-pipe and Pypes mufflers.
The VIN beneath the windshield is partially legible, and the VIN on the Florida title—1Q87K3N130705—is consistent with that of a 1973 Chevrolet Camaro.
