This 1972 Chevrolet Nova coupe was produced at GM’s Willow Run, Michigan, facility and was acquired by the seller in 2016. The body was repainted in red under previous ownership, and the car is equipped with a replacement 350ci V8 linked to a TH200-4R four-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction rear end. Features include a Holley carburetor, four-wheel disc brakes, exhaust headers, a Flowmaster exhaust system, KYB shocks, 15″ REV wheels, and AutoMeter gauges. Work completed following the seller’s purchase is said to have included installation of the replacement transmission, overhauls of the brake and suspension systems, installation of an American Autowire fuse panel and wiring harness, and a top-end rebuild using an Edelbrock top-end kit with an aluminum intake manifold, aluminum cylinder heads, and a Performer camshaft. This Nova is now offered with service manuals and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted red under prior ownership according to the seller, and it is accented with dual black stripes, beltline moldings, and SS-style badging. Additional equipment includes aftermarket headlights, bodyside moldings, and chrome bumpers and side mirrors. The seller notes evidence of repair to the right-rear quarter panel as well as corrosion along the trunk opening and other imperfections as depicted in the photo and video galleries below.
REV 15″ wheels are mounted with 215/75 Mastercraft white-letter tires. Four-wheel disc brakes have been added and feature red calipers over drilled and slotted rotors, and the car is equipped with Eaton Detroit Spring-sourced coil and leaf springs, KYB shocks, and replacement tie rods, ball joints, and bushings.
The interior features dual bench seats clad in black vinyl upholstery with color-coordinated door panels and carpeting, the latter of which are fitted over an underlayment of insulation. Features include an AutoMeter tachometer and auxiliary gauges as well as safety belts for the front and rear occupants. The heater has been removed, and the car is not equipped with a radio.
The aftermarket steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer along with a fuel gauge and ventilation controls. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci V8 is said to have been installed under prior ownership, and it reportedly underwent a top-end rebuild following the seller’s purchase. Features include an Edelbrock a Performer hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, Edelbrock E-Street cylinder heads, and a Holley carburetor fitted atop an Edelbrock intake manifold along with Edelbrock-branded valve covers and JEGS exhaust headers mated to a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Further updates are said to have included a refurbishment of the fuel tank and installation of an American Autowire wiring harness.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seller-installed TH200-4R four-speed automatic transmission and 10-bolt rear end with a 3.73:1 Positraction differential. Additional photos in the gallery display the underside and mechanicals, as well as corrosion on portions of the mechanical components.
