This 1972 Chevrolet Nova coupe was acquired by the seller in 2006 and was rebuilt as a Pro Street-style car between 2008 and 2010. Highlighting the modifications is a built 350ci V8 with .030″-over Wiseco pistons, RHS aluminum heads, a COMP Cams roller camshaft, a Victor Jr. intake manifold, a Holley 750 carburetor, and Hooker headers. It is linked to a Richmond T10 transmission with a billet flywheel, an upgraded clutch, and a 10-bolt Yukon rear end with 4.11 gears, and the car rides on adjustable suspension with a mini-tubbed rear end, Centerline wheels, CPP four-wheel disc brakes, traction bars, and subframe connectors. Inside, Corbeau seats, a four-point roll bar, a Hurst shifter, and a Covan’s Classic cluster have been installed. Driven 3,500 miles since completion, this Nova coupe is now offered with service records and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The car was media blasted before it was repainted metallic gray with black stripes in 2010. It has a cowl-induction hood and chrome bumpers as well as a left-side mirror.
The rear end has Detroit Speed mini-tubs, and Center Line Qualifier 17″ wheels wear 225/45 tires up from with 295/45 Mickey Thompsons out back. QA1 adjustable dampers, CPP four-wheel disc brakes, Competition Engineering Slide-a-Link traction bars, and Detroit Speed welded subframe connectors have also been installed.
The cabin has been modified with a four-point roll bar, Corbeau bucket seats, and four-point harnesses.
A Covan’s Classic gauge cluster was mounted in the dashboard, and the three-spoke wheel is mounted on a Flaming River column. A Hurst Super Shifter is mounted in the custom console. The 3,500 miles shown on the odometer represent the mileage driven since completion of the build.
The battery has been relocated to the trunk, where a fuel cell and Aeromotive fuel pump have been installed.
Yoe’s Cylinder Head Specialties in Madison, Ohio reportedly built the 350ci V8 in 2008 with .030-over Wiseco pistons, RHS aluminum heads, a COMP Cams roller camshaft, a port-matched Victor Jr. intake manifold, a Holley 750 carburetor, and ceramic-coated and wrapped Hooker headers. Mallory ignition, a Ron Francis wiring harness, a Meziere electric water pump, and a Be Cool radiator with electric fans were also utilized.
A Lakewood bellhousing, a billet flywheel, a RAM clutches long-style pressure plate, and a RAM 309M 10.5″ clutch disc were also installed according to the seller, who notes that the Positraction Yukon 10-bolt has 4.11 gears and was sourced from JD Race and Restoration.
