This 1972 Chevrolet Nova coupe was acquired by the seller as an incomplete project with a rebuilt 350ci V8 in 2016, and subsequent refurbishment work reportedly included rebuilding the TH350 transmission and the Positraction rear differential, overhauling the suspension, repainting the body in orange, and reupholstering the black vinyl interior. The car is further equipped with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an MSD distributor, a replacement fuel tank, a Flowmaster exhaust system, Moser Engineering axle shafts, and 15” five-spoke wheels as well as Painless Performance wiring, a Hurst shifter, and a RetroSound push-button Bluetooth radio linked to Kicker speakers. This Nova has been in storage since 2021 and is now offered with service manuals and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name.
The Fisher-produced body left the factory in Golden Brown (57) and was refinished in orange under current ownership, following rust remediation and refinishing the frame and wheel wells in black. Exterior details include chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, Nova SS-style hood vents, and Nova badging. Bright trim is missing from the right-rear quarter window, and the driver’s vent window is held in place with a screw and will need to be rebuilt.
The cabin features dual bench seats clad in black vinyl, a Hurst Quarter Stick shifter, and a RetroSound push-button radio with Bluetooth connectivity linked to Kicker speakers. Interior refurbishment included installing sound-deadening material as well as a replacement dash pad, carpets, seat cushions, and sail panels.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and supplemental gauges. A digital display for the Holley Sniper EFI is affixed to the dashboard, and a gauge pod ahead of the shifter houses auxiliary instrumentation. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles, approximately 900 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt under prior ownership and is equipped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold as well as a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system. The seller reportedly installed an MSD distributor, a Painless Performance wiring harness, an Edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers, a Champion Cooling aluminum radiator with electric fans, a replacement gas tank, an electric fuel pump, and braided fuel lines. The seller states the engine and EFI system may need additional tuning.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction differential with 3.73:1 gearing, both of which are stated to have been rebuilt in 2019. Moser Engineering axles and a Flowmaster exhaust system with 50-series mufflers are also installed.
