This 1972 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is finished in Placer Gold with black stripes over black and was powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a Holley carburetor, 15″ Rally wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, front and rear spoilers, chrome trim, and front bucket seats. The car was reportedly refurbished under previous ownership in the early 2000s and was acquired by the seller in August 2018. Work completed under current ownership consisted of rebuilding the carburetor, changing the oil, and replacing the transmission seals and battery. This Z28 is offered with owner’s and service manuals, spare keys, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The body was finished in Placer Gold (53) with black stripes from the factory and was repainted as part of a refurbishment completed in the early 2000s. Features include front and rear lip spoilers, Z28 badging, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome trim on the bumpers, side moldings, grille, and light surrounds.
The 15″ Rally wheels are fitted with Goodyear Polyglas GT white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering along with power-assisted front disc brakes with rear drums.
The cabin features high-back front bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl and accompanied by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a floor-mounted gear shifter, locking glove box, seat belts for all occupants, and an AM/FM stereo. The blower motor and radio do not work, and the driver-side shoulder belt is missing.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges indicating fuel level, amperage, and coolant temperature. The analog clock does not work and the coolant gauge reads inaccurately. The five-digit odometer indicates 45k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 is equipped with a Holley 750cfm carburetor, a GM Winters intake manifold, and Dougs tubular headers. The oil was changed and the battery replaced in 2020.
The engine code and serial number are shown above. Additional stamps and casting numbers are pictured in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The transmission gaskets were replaced under current ownership.
