This 1972 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was manufactured in Norwood, Ohio and purchased by the seller in September 2012. A subsequent refurbishment included a refinish in Mulsanne Blue with white stripes, along with the fitment of a 350ci V8 that sends power to the rear wheels through a rebuilt TH400 automatic transmission. The car was also fitted with black interior upholstery, aftermarket gauges, and a modern stereo, as well as power front disc brakes, power steering, and an updated exhaust. This Z/28 is now offered with owner’s materials, photos and records of the refurbishment, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car was disassembled and stripped by the seller during the refurbishment. Repairs were made to the A-pillars, and replaced metal panels include the hood, door skins, driver-side quarter panel, passenger-side fender, trunk pan, and driver-side floor pans. The final repaint was performed in Mulsanne Blue (26) accented with white stripes (ZR8), matching the finish noted on the trim tag.
15″ Rally wheels feature dark gray centers and wear a set of BFGoodrich white-letter radial tires. Braking is by front discs and rear drums.
A black interior has replaced the original blue (776) and is detailed below along with the carpets, headliner, and dash. Features include a center console, a horseshoe-style shifter, and a remote side mirror, while additions include aftermarket gauges and a CD stereo with USB connectivity. The factory set of gauges is included in the sale.
The replacement digital odometer shows approximately 4k miles, though true mileage is unknown. The seller notes the driver-side window regulator is loose.
The replacement 350ci V8 was installed by the seller and is paired with a rebuilt Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Features include a Lunati Barebones camshaft and lifter kit, an Edelbrock Performer dual-plane manifold, long-tube headers, a dual exhaust system, and power steering. An oil change was completed in February 2020 according to the seller.
