1970 Chevrolet Nova Coupe

This 1970 Chevrolet Nova sport coupe was produced at GM’s Willow Run, Michigan facility and was purchased by the current owner in 2004. An engine replacement and repaint in silver were performed during previous ownership, and the car is equipped with a 396ci V8 linked to a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end. Features include front disc brakes, exhaust headers, glasspack mufflers, 15″ wheels, a black vinyl interior, a Hurst shifter, and a Delco AM radio. This modified Nova is offered on dealer consignment with a clean Michigan title.

Finished from the factory in Cortez Silver (14), the car was repainted during prior ownership according to the selling dealer, and it is accented with chrome bumpers, side fender vents, and SS badging.

15″ Rally wheels retain chrome rings and hub covers and are wrapped in 235/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with front disc brakes.

The interior features a Custom black bench seat (732) with matching door panels and carpeting. Features include a Hurst shifter, a Delco AM radio, and shoulder belts for the front occupants.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer along with a fuel gauge and ventilation controls. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, with true mileage unknown. The seller notes that the emergency-brake warning light illuminates intermittently.

The 396ci V8 displays a JD-stamped block said to be sourced from a 1969 Chevelle, and it was installed during prior ownership. Additional features include chrome valve covers and a pair of exhaust headers linked to a glasspack-equipped side-exiting exhaust system. An oil change was completed in June 2020 according to the seller.
