This 1970 Chevrolet Nova coupe underwent modifications that were completed in 2022 and involved installing a Thompson Motorsports LS-based 5.7-liter V8, which is equipped with a ported LSA supercharger, Trick Flow heads, a Holley Terminator X ECU, and Hooker headers. Shifting is through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission, and the Quick Performance 9″ rear end is equipped with 4.11:1 gears and 31-spline axle shafts. Finished in the Toyota-sourced shade of Quicksand, the car has Corbeau bucket seats, a Pro 5.0 shifter, Vintage Air climate control, and a Kenwood head unit. Additional modifications include Ridetech suspension, Kore3 four-wheel disc brakes, Forgestar 18″ wheels, and mini-tubbed rear wheel wells. Acquired by the seller in 2017, this modified Nova coupe is now offered with build literature and photos and a Washington title in the seller’s name.
The car has been finished in the Toyota-sourced shade of Quicksand and adorned with black side stripes, trim, and bumpers. The seller notes that the floor pan, trunk pan, tail panel, wheelhouse, and quarter panels were replaced. A Detroit Speed & Engineering wiper motor is fitted. Noted flaws include a ding on the roof and on the driver’s door as well as a blemish on the left fender.
Forgestar M14 18″ wheels are mounted with 245/40 Nitto NT01 tires up front, and Detroit Speed & Engineering mini-tubs are fitted out back to accommodate the 315/30 matching rear tires. Kore3 Z51-specification disc brakes with red calipers are equipped at all four corners. Ridetech suspension components include coilovers and a four-link rear setup, and Hotchkis subframe connectors are installed. The seller notes that the Borgeson steering box is mounted next to the headers.
The refreshed cabin houses Corbeau GTS II front seats trimmed in black leather, and the rear bench has been reupholstered in black. Sound-dampening material was applied, and replacement components include the carpets, headliner, rear deck, door panels, and dash pad. An American Autowire harness was utilized, and additional features include a Vintage Air climate control system, a Kenwood Bluetooth head unit, Pioneer speakers, and a Pro 5.0 shifter.
The three-spoke Grant steering wheel has a red centering stripe and fronts a Holley digital display with a customizable screen layout. The odometer shows 1,200 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
