This 1970 Chevrolet Nova coupe is finished in silver over black vinyl and powered by a 402ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. Features include a black vinyl roof, front disc brakes, 15″ wheels, MSD electronic ignition, an aluminum radiator, and an Edelbrock carburetor. The car is said to have spent time in Texas before it was acquired by the seller in 2020. Subsequent work included replacing the flywheel, starter, thermostat, shocks, and springs. This Nova is now offered with a Washington state title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted silver under previous ownership and features a black vinyl roof, side fender vents, SS and 396 badging, and chrome trim and bumpers. A chip in the paint is present on the hood, and damage to the driver’s door can be seen in photos provided in the gallery below. The seller notes that the trunk lid shows aging.
American Racing 15″ wheels feature gray centers and are wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The shocks and springs were replaced in 2022, and disc brakes are fitted up front.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in black vinyl joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a Hurst quarter-stick shifter, a locking glovebox, crank windows, and front Chevy-branded rubber floor mats. The front seat vinyl shows damage on the driver’s side, and rust is present on the driver’s door jamb and inside the trunk compartment.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, fuel level gauge, and an electric clock. An aftermarket tachometer, water temperature gauges, and oil pressure gauge are mounted atop the steering column. The seller notes that the steering column gaskets and padding need to be replaced. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 402ci V8 was fitted under previous ownership and features an Edelbrock carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, long-tube headers, an aluminum radiator, an MSD Blaster coil, and an MSD ignition box that is mounted under the dash. The flywheel, starter motor, head gasket, and thermostat were replaced in preparation for the sale, and an oil change was also performed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. Rust is noted on the exhaust system.
The Washington state title carries an “antique” brand.
