This 1970 Chevrolet Nova underwent a cosmetic refurbishment before being acquired by the seller in 2020, and it was subsequently fitted with a 454ci V8 and a four-speed automatic transmission. An aluminum radiator and a custom driveshaft were also installed, and additional work under current ownership has involved wiring repairs and replacement of the transmission cable, exhaust header gaskets, and engine mounts. Finished in black over black vinyl upholstery, the car is equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold, long-tube headers, 15″ steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and a cowl-induction hood. This modified Nova is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in black and was repainted under prior ownership. Exterior details include body-color bumpers, a cowl-induction hood, polished door handles, and 427 badging. The seller notes the windshield wipers do not work, and blemishes are shown up close in the gallery.
Black-finished 15″ steel wheels wear polished center caps with bowtie logos and are mounted with 215/70 front and 255/70 rear Turbo-Tech G/T Radial tires. The car rides on a lowered suspension and is equipped with power steering as well as tubular front lower control arms. Braking is handled by unassisted discs at all four corners.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats that are upholstered in black vinyl and complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Rubberized floor mats line the footwells, and the car is equipped with wind-up front windows, a locking glove compartment, and lap belts. The radio and climate control system have been removed and the rear windows do not roll down. Block-off plates were installed in place of each vent.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. Additional readouts for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage are mounted below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 454ci V8 is said to have been sourced from Jasper Engines and installed in March 2021. Equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold and air intake housing along with long-tube headers and finned valve covers. An aluminum radiator was installed, and the fluids, engine mounts, coolant overflow tank, exhaust header gaskets, and air filter were replaced under current ownership.
A 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission was also installed under current ownership and the transmission cables were replaced. The dual exhaust system exits below the 12-bolt rear axle.
