This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is powered by an LS6 454ci V8 mated with a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction rear axle with 4.10:1 gearing and is finished in blue with white stripes over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes the optional F41 performance suspension, power-assisted steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, 14” SS wheels, a functional cowl induction hood, a black grille and tail panel, a dual exhaust system, and a push-button AM radio. The car was initially delivered to Reedman Chevrolet of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, was refurbished under previous ownership, and was previously listed on BaT in November 2022. Acquired by the selling dealer in October 2023, this Chevelle SS is now offered in Alabama with a build sheet, a Protect-O-Plate, an owner’s manual, a binder of photos, and a clean Ohio title.
The car was refinished under previous ownership in blue with white hood and decklid stripes. Features include chrome bumpers, quad headlamps, a cowl induction hood, hood pins, a driver mirror, a black grille and tail panel, SS 454 badging, and dual exhaust outlets with polished oval finishers.
The 14″ Super Sport wheels wear SS center caps and are mounted with F70-14 Firestone Wide Oval white-letter tires. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and the F41 performance suspension package, which consists of a thicker front sway bar, a rear sway bar, and boxed front control arms. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes polished door sills, lap belts, Chevrolet-branded rubber floor mats, floor vents, and a push-button AM radio.
The two-spoke SS steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and supplementary gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles.
The LS6 454ci V8 was factory rated at 450 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque and features a cowl induction system, a four-barrel carburetor, a smog pump, a Harrison radiator, and polished valve covers. An oil change was performed in 2023.
