This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe is powered by a retrofitted 454ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in blue with white stripes over black vinyl upholstery. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in May 2022, and subsequent service included the installation of a Holley carburetor and the replacement of the PCV valve, spark plugs, and fuel pump and lines. Equipment includes 15″ American Racing wheels, front disc brakes, chrome bumpers, a center console, and a push-button radio. This Chevelle is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in Canada with Ontario registration.
The car was finished from the factory in Astro Blue, and the selling dealer notes that it was refinished under prior ownership in its current scheme of blue with white stripes following the repair of body panels.
American Racing 15″ wheels are wrapped in 255/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes. Old Man Emu shocks are fitted in the rear.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl along with a lockable center console, a heater, a push-button radio, crank windows, Chevrolet-branded rubber floor mats, and lap belts with front shoulder harnesses. The driver’s seat bolster is torn.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and a fuel level gauge. Gauges for oil pressure, voltage, and water temperature are mounted below the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 454ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and features an Edelbrock Performer 2-O intake manifold, bright-finished valve covers, exhaust headers, and an aftermarket exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers. Service completed in September 2022 included the installation of a Holley carburetor and replacement of the PCV valve and carburetor vacuum line, spark plugs and boots, fuel pump and lines, cooling hose and hose clamp, and air filter as well as an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Additional underbody photos are included in the image gallery below.
