This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was acquired by the seller in 2020 from its previous owner of 43 years and was subsequently repainted. Finished in green with black stripes over a green interior, the car is powered by a 350ci LT1 V8 that has been built and modified with Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, Holley fuel injection, a Howards camshaft, and Hooker ceramic-coated headers. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, front and rear lip spoilers, chrome bumpers, a Hurst shifter, and 15” steel Z28 wheels. This Camaro is being offered with removed parts, photos from the aforementioned work, engine build invoices, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Citrus Green (43), the car was disassembled and repainted during current ownership. Exterior features include a blacked-out front grille, black over-the-top racing stripes, front and rear lip spoilers, chrome bumpers, and Z28 badging. A textured black finish can be seen in the trunk. A video of the car prior to the repaint can be viewed in the video gallery.
Factory 15” steel wheels feature gray-painted centers with polished trim rings and are mounted with staggered-width BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. Braking is handled by four wheel discs.
The cabin features seats trimmed in green vinyl along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include hand-crank windows, polished door sill plates, a cue-ball shifter, and a push-button radio.
A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation including a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. An aftermarket oil pressure gauge has been added below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 78k miles, around 500 of which were added by the seller. A crack can be seen on the instrument surround panel.
The numbers-matching 350ci LT1 V8 was built by Cropp Performance Solutions of Standardsville, Virginia in 2020 and features Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads, Speed-Pro pistons, ARP head bolts, Howards lifters, Comp Hi-Tech chromoly pushrods, Howards camshaft, and a Holley fuel injection system. Hooker ceramic-coated exhaust headers feed a dual exhaust system with an x-pipe, and a Moroso block-off plate can be seen on the painted short-block. The seller notes a recent break-in oil service has been performed. An engine build sheet can be seen in the gallery, along with engine suffix code CTB, which indicates a 350ci LT1 V8 for the Z28 special performance package in conjunction with a manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.
