This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was purchased new by the seller from Myers Motors Co. Ltd. of Ottawa, Canada, on June 12, 1970, and it was refurbished in the early 2000s with a rebuild of the 350ci V8 and a refinish in blue with white stripes. Equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip rear differential, front and rear spoilers, Koni shocks, front disc brakes, 15″ rally wheels, and a radio. This Z28 is offered in Canada with a Protect-o-Plate warranty card, an owner’s manual, and an Ontario registration.
Finished from the factory in Mulsanne Blue (26), the car is reported to have been repainted in the current shade of blue in 2002. Features include white stripes, front and rear spoilers, bright metal rocker panels, body-color sport mirrors, Z28 badging, and a dual exhaust system that exits below the chrome rear bumper. Paint touch-ups can be viewed close up in the gallery.
Gray 15″ Rally-style wheels wear bright trim rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires measuring 235/60. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Modifications include Koni shocks, lowered front springs, aluminum body mounts, and aluminum control arm bushings with Delrin inserts. The seller notes that the rear springs should be replaced.
The cabin features front Strato-bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with perforated inserts joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a floor shifter, headrests, woodgrain trim, lap belts, polished door sills, crank windows, and a radio.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and amperage. A Stewart-Warner oil pressure gauge is mounted on the lower dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles.
The 350ci V8 was bored .030″ over in July 2001 and rebuilt with Speed Pro hypereutectic pistons. A Comp Cams camshaft is said to be installed, and a dual snorkel air cleaner, Dart cylinder heads, finned aluminum valve covers, and Stahl exhaust headers are fitted. An August 2022 service included an oil change.
The seller states that the car is equipped with a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Protect-O-Plate card shows the original selling dealer as Myers Motors Co. Ltd. of Ottawa, Canada, and a retail sale date of June 12, 1970.
