This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is powered by a retrofitted 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over black upholstery. The car is said to have spent time in Pennsylvania before being acquired by the seller in March 2015, who subsequently embarked upon a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment that reportedly included disassembly of the vehicle, installation of the powertrain, the addition of front and rear disc brakes and a stainless-steel exhaust, a repaint, and a refurbished interior with a Vintage Air climate control system. This Z28 is now offered with a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Camaro Gold Iridescent (53) that was reportedly stripped prior to a repaint in House of Kolor Apple Red Kandy. Features include an aftermarket hood with cowl induction, tinted glass, chrome front bumperettes, a chrome rear bumper, and Z28 badging on the grille, fenders, and rear spoiler.
Staggered-width American Racing wheels are mounted with Mickey Thompson tires. A four-link rear suspension and Wilwood front and rear disc brakes were reportedly installed during the refurbishment.
The cabin was reupholstered in black with red stitching along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Features include bolstered front bucket seats, a sculpted rear bench, a Vintage Air air conditioning system, and a RetroSound stereo.
A three-spoke steering wheel with a Chevrolet-branded hub frames instrumentation including a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a clock alongside gauges for fuel level, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was retrofitted under current ownership and features a body-color intake, ceramic-coated headers, and a stainless-steel exhaust system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Dana 60 limited-slip differential.
