This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro was purchased by its current owner in 2000 and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a column-shifted three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes side decals, 14″ wheels with hubcaps, power-assisted front disc brakes, chrome-finished bumpers, a clock, and a JVC CD player. The car is said to have been mostly stored since 2006 and it was refinished under current ownership. This Camaro is now offered by the seller on behalf of its owner with a clean California title.
The car was delivered new in Cortez Silver (14-14) and was refinished in its present metallic shade under current ownership. The side stripe decal continues over the roof above the curved rear window. The paint shows cracking, signs of age, and other imperfections.
Steel 14″ wheels wear covers and are mounted with 205/75 Dayton Quadra SE whitewall tires. The power-assisted brakes utilize front discs and rear drums. The brakes and suspension should be inspected prior to use, and the seller recommends replacing the suspension.
The interior features bucket seats and a rear bench in black vinyl, with three-point restraints extending over the pillarless windows. Black carpeting covers the floors, and a JVC CD player has been installed in the factory location. The air conditioning is not as cold as it should be according to the seller, and some of the weatherstripping has deteriorated.
A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 150-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge separated by an indicator for the column-mounted shifter. Other auxiliary gauges are present in the main cluster, and a clock is located on the transmission tunnel. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles, fewer than 10k of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 is carbureted and the seller states that it was last serviced in 2006, when the coolant was changed and the radiator hoses, thermostat housing, and thermostat are said to have been replaced. The battery was replaced in 2022.
Power is delivered to the wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a solid rear axle. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
