This 1969 Chevrolet Impala convertible is finished in burgundy over red vinyl and powered by a replacement 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated white soft top, air conditioning, a 12-bolt rear differential, dual exhaust system, and power windows. The car was acquired by its current owner in 2004, and the fuel tank was recently flushed following approximately two years of nonuse. This Impala is now being offered on consignment by the selling dealer in Rockville, Maryland with partial service records and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The car was finished from the factory in Ermine White (50) and was repainted its current shade of burgundy some time ago. Features include a power-operated white convertible top with a glass rear window along with chrome bumpers, mirrors, and rocker trim. The soft top can be seen in its raised position in the gallery, and a top boot is included in the sale. Flaking paint is noted below the driver’s side taillight.
Steel wheels with a chrome finish wear older thin whitewall tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The brake master cylinder was replaced in 2010.
The bench seats are trimmed in red vinyl (866) with a matching dashboard, door panels, and brighter red carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, a locking glovebox, and a cassette stereo with speakers on the rear seats.
Instrumentation includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a five-digit odometer that shows 39k miles, approximately 5k of which were added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci V8 was factory rated at 255 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. The fuel tank sending unit, alternator, and valve cover gaskets were replaced over a decade ago, and the fuel tank was recently flushed. Engine suffix “CKL” shown in the gallery corresponds with a 1973 350ci V8.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt differential. Additional underside photos can be seen in the gallery.
