This 1969 Chevrolet Impala convertible was acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in June 2018 and also previously sold on BaT in September 2017. The body is finished in black over parchment white vinyl, and the car features power steering and brakes, Strato bucket seats, polished Cragar wheels, and a dual exhaust system. The 350ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership and is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Work completed by the selling dealer has included installing an aftermarket stereo system, repairing the power-operated soft top, rebuilding the carburetor, and replacing the master cylinder. This Impala is now being offered in Birmingham, Alabama with service records since 2001 and a clean New York title.
A refresh for the 1969 model year included a restyled body, featuring sharper lines and a newly-designed wrap-around grille. Originally finished in Burnish Brown, this example was repainted its current shade of black during previous ownership. The bumpers and other brightwork were reportedly re-chromed at this time.
The power-operated white soft top is said to have been re-covered and fitted with a replacement glass rear window under previous ownership. Polished five-spoke Cragar alloy wheels are fitted with Radial G/T Road Hugger tires. The selling dealer reportedly repaired the soft top, adjusted the drum brakes, replaced the master cylinder, and rotated and balanced the tires.
The Parchment White vinyl interior features a pair of Strato bucket seats, along with black carpeting, embroidered Impala floor mats, and a walnut-rimmed steering wheel. A factory horseshoe shifter, center console, and AM radio are retained, although the seller has added two 10″ sub-woofers, aftermarket speakers, a Bluetooth receiver, and a switch mounted under the dash.
Instrumentation includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a five-digit odometer that shows just over 99k miles, approximately 1,500 of which have been added during two years of ownership.
The 350ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt and bored .030” over by Grants Automotive of Colgate, Wisconsin approximately 13k miles ago. The selling dealer recently changed the oil and has reportedly replaced the transmission pan, gasket, and filter, installed a new battery, fitted new valve cover gaskets, and rebuilt the carburetor since acquiring the vehicle in 2018.
