1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe

This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport coupe was acquired by the seller’s mother in May 2007, and subsequent work involved the installation of a replacement 454ci V8. Finished in blue with white stripes over white vinyl upholstery, the car is also equipped with a cowl induction hood, 15″ Rally-style wheels, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, front bucket seats, air conditioning, an AM/FM cassette stereo, Dakota Digital instrumentation, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, tubular exhaust headers, and an ACCEL Super Coil in-cap ignition coil. This Chevelle is now offered by the seller on behalf of their mother with a collection of spare parts and a clean Pennsylvania title.

The car is finished in metallic blue with white stripes and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Exterior details include a cowl induction hood, fog lights, SS 454 and Malibu badging, black grille accents, and chrome bumpers.

Rally-style 15″ wheels with chrome trim rings and hubcaps wear 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in white vinyl and accompanied by color-coordinated door panels. Equipment includes air conditioning, an AM/FM cassette stereo, and lap belts. The dashboard vent panel is missing.

The two-spoke steering wheel is missing its cover and fronts Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of an inoperative speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges for fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer displays “SET”, and total mileage is unknown. The removed factory instruments are included in the sale.

The replacement 454ci V8 was installed under current ownership and is equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, a Summit Racing air cleaner, tubular exhaust headers, and an ACCEL Super Coil in-cap ignition coil.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster-style mufflers.
