This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible is finished in black over a black interior with houndstooth seat inserts and powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes a black convertible soft top, SS badges, polished 17″ Torq Thrust-style wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, a dual exhaust system, a horseshoe console shifter, an Edelbrock intake manifold, air conditioning, and a Pioneer CD stereo mounted in the glovebox. The car is said to have spent time in Texas before moving to California with its previous owner in 2015, and was purchased by the seller in 2018. Previously burgundy, the body was refinished in black in 2005. Clear paint protection film was applied in 2015, and additional work at that time included replacement of the inner front fenders and window seals. Polished 17″ Torq Thrust-style wheels from Eagle Alloys wear 245/50 Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the car rides on coil springs all around.
The interior is said to have been refurbished in 2005 and features black vinyl seat upholstery with houndstooth cloth inserts, black carpets with coco floor mats, and a center console with a locking storage compartment and a horseshoe shifter. The aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, battery charge, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The seller states that the clock and gauges were replaced in 2015. The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles, with the actual total unknown. Aftermarket readouts displaying oil pressure and water temperature are mounted to the underside of the dash.
The 350ci V8 features a Holley four-barrel carburetor on an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, late-model center-bolt cylinder heads, and finned aluminum valve covers. The carburetor and spark plugs were replaced in 2015, and an oil change was performed in October 2020.
A custom dual exhaust system features oblong chrome tips exiting from below the rear bumper. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
