This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is a modified example that was refurbished as a Yenko tribute under previous ownership and was acquired by the seller in June 2022. Refurbishment work included installing a 454ci V8 and a Muncie four-speed manual transmission as well as refinishing the car in red over parchment vinyl upholstery. Additional Equipment consists of painted Yenko-style stripes, 15″ Torq Thrust wheels, column-mounted gauges, Yenko-branded headrests, a Hurst gear shift, a four-barrel carburetor, tubular exhaust manifolds, and a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. This Chevelle is offered with a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Dover White and was repainted in red with Yenko-style stripes under previous ownership. Features include quad headlamps, side mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and a chrome grille, bumpers, and wheel arches.
American Racing 15″ Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums.
The interior features front bucket seats trimmed in parchment vinyl with YSC-branded headrests joined by a matching rear bench seat and door panels. Black carpets line the floors, and additional equipment consists of a center console, a floor-mounted Hurst gear shift with a white shift knob, a push-button AM radio, a cabin heater, and hand-crank windows.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer along with a column-mounted tachometer and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 63k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
The replacement 454ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and a polished air cleaner and rocker covers as well as tubular exhaust manifolds. Engine casting numbers are shown in the gallery. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and twelve-bolt rear axle with a limited-slip differential. A Flowmaster dual exhaust system is installed.
