This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible is equipped with the Z11 option, which added the RS and SS packages, as well as trim and decals in the style of the Camaro pace car used at the 1969 Indianapolis 500. The body is finished in Dover White with Hugger Orange stripes over orange houndstooth upholstery, and power comes from a 396ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a white convertible top, 14″ Rally-style wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, a cowl-induction hood, woodgrain interior trim, a Hurst shifter, and a push-button radio. The car is said to have been refurbished in the 1990s and has been under the care of the current owner since 2005. This Z11 Camaro is offered in Rhode Island by the seller on behalf of the owning dealer with an orange top boot, an 1969-dated Indy 500 program, a dealer launch kit, promotional material, manufacturer’s literature, a Protect-O-Plate, service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean New Mexico title.
The body is finished in Dover White (50) with Hugger Orange stripes along with door graphics and orange pinstripe accents on the front and rear fender lines. The car is said to have been refurbished in the 1990s, under prior ownership, and exterior details include front and rear spoilers, a cowl-induction hood, hide-away headlights, chrome bumpers, and a white vinyl top. Additional close-up images showing the soft top in the raised and lowered positions are provided in the gallery below.
Silver-finished 14″ Rally-style steel wheels wear bright trim rings with center caps and are mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The interior is said to have been reupholstered in the 1990s and is equipped with front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in orange upholstery with houndstooth cloth inserts and color-coordinated molded door and side panels. Simulated woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and center console, and additional appointments include black carpets, a Hurst shifter, hand crank side windows, a heater and defroster, and a push-button radio.
The two-spoke steering wheel features SS-branding and frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows just under 100k miles, approximately 10k of which have been added by the owning dealer. True mileage is unknown.
The 396ci was rebuilt in July 1991, and work included decking the block, installing cylinder sleeves, and replacing the pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, and camshaft. An oil change was carried out in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed Muncie manual transmission. Additional images showing the condition of the underside are included in the gallery below.
