This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS was acquired by the seller in 2011 and underwent a body-off refurbishment that included media blasting the body, rust repair, a repaint, refurbishing the interior, rebuilding the brake and suspension systems, and replacing the gauges, steering wheel, wiring harness, brake lines, fuel system, and exhaust system. The car is finished in LeMans Blue over two-tone black and powered by a 383ci stroker V8 paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ rally-style wheels, a rear spoiler, chrome bumpers, front disc brakes, a March Performance belt drive, and an AM/FM radio. This Camaro is offered with refurbishment photos and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The body was removed from the frame, media blasted, and refinished in LeMans Blue. The seller notes that rust was repaired at that time, and the bumpers, glass, side markers, and trim were replaced. Additional details include a rear spoiler, a driver-side mirror, and fog lights.
Rally-style 15″ wheels with polished trim rings and hub caps wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. During the refurbishment, quick ratio power steering, power disc brakes, and replacement brake lines and hoses were installed.
The factory seating was retrimmed in black vinyl with houndstooth cloth inserts as part of the 2021 refurbishment, and a replacement dashboard, rear shelf, door panels, and carpeting were installed. Lap belts are provided for the front and rear seats, and additional features include wood trim, a white shift knob, manually-operated windows, and a factory AM/FM radio.
The factory rosewood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a replacement 140-mph speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock. Additional gauges are mounted in the center console and indicate battery charge, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 26 miles, which is the distance the car has been driven since completion of the build. Total mileage is unknown.
The GM crate 383ci stroker V8 is equipped with a March Performance belt drive system, Holley dual-feed carburetor, polished Chevrolet valve covers, ceramic coated Hooker headers, a Be Cool aluminum radiator, and a pair of electric cooling fans.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO five-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with a 3.73:1 limited-slip differential. A replacement dual exhaust system has been installed.
