This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was sold new at Everett Chevrolet of Hickory, North Carolina, and left the factory finished in Hugger Orange. Repainted in the 1980s, the car was acquired by the seller in 2016 after it spent approximately two decades in storage. Subsequent work included overhauling the engine, rebuilding the carburetor, replacing fasteners, and re-chroming brightwork. The car is powered by a rebuilt 302ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and additional features include a cowl-induction hood, front and rear spoilers, power-assisted front disc brakes, 15″ Rally wheels, a center console, black vinyl upholstery, woodgrain interior trim, and a push-button radio. This Camaro Z/28 is now offered with spare parts, service records from current ownership, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Hugger Orange (72) and was repainted in the 1980s with white stripes. Exterior details include Z/28 badging, a cowl-induction hood, front and rear spoilers, faux quarter panel vents, tinted windows, and rear bumper guards. The front and rear bumpers were re-chromed under current ownership according to the seller.
Silver-finished 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps. Goodyear Wide Tread GT white-letter tires are mounted at all four corners. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl. Details include a center console, faux woodgrain trim, a cabin heater, a push-button radio, and retractable front lap belts.
The 302ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and finned valve covers. The engine was overhauled in 2016 after the car reportedly sat for approximately two decades prior to the seller’s acquisition. Work included re-sleeving and boring the cylinders 0.030″ over as well as rebuilding the carburetor, replacing fasteners, and re-chroming the radiator cap. The radiator hoses, exhaust manifolds, and smog pump were also replaced at this time.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
