This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 coupe is said to have spent time in Europe before it was acquired by the seller in 2006. It underwent a mechanical refurbishment in 2019 that included rebuilds of the 302ci V8, four-speed manual transmission, and Positraction differential as well as overhauls of the suspension and brake systems. The car is refinished in yellow with black stripes over a reupholstered black interior, and it is equipped with 15″ Rally wheels, front disc brakes, power-assisted steering, front and rear spoilers, a Hurst shifter, an AM radio, and a cabin heater. This Camaro Z/28 coupe is now offered with service records, an owner’s manual, and a clean California title in the seller’s and their spouse’s names.
The car left the factory finished in Daytona Yellow (76) and is said to have been refinished in 2005. Features include black hood and trunk stripes, front and rear spoilers, a cowl-induction hood, Z/28 badging, faux quarter panel vents, and chrome bumpers. The front spoiler was replaced in 2019. Close-up photos of the exterior are shown in the gallery below.
The 15″ Rally wheels are mounted with 215/60 front and 225/70 rear BFGoodrich tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The suspension was rebuilt in 2019, and the front brake pads, rear wheel cylinders, and the brake master cylinder were replaced.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench reupholstered in black vinyl. The carpets were replaced, and interior appointments include an AM radio, a Hurst shifter, rubber floor mats, and a cabin heater.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. Stewart-Warner coolant temperature and oil pressure gauges are centrally mounted underneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 302ci Z/28 V8 was factory rated at 290 horsepower, and it is equipped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and finned aluminum valve covers. The engine was removed and rebuilt in 2019 by DWSClassics of Huntington Beach, California as part of a mechanical refurbishment. The service is detailed in a record shown in the gallery, and parts and labor totaled $32k. A chambered exhaust system is fitted.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an optional Positraction differential, and both were rebuilt in 2019.
