This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is finished in Daytona Yellow and powered by a 302ci V8. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2017 and subsequently refurbished with work including replacing the cowl, repainting the body, refreshing the suspension, brakes, and gauges, retrimming the seats, and rebuilding the engine, four-speed manual transmission, and 12-bolt rear axle. Equipment includes an Eaton rear differential, 15″ Rally wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, front and rear spoilers, a cowl-induction hood, a center console, woodgrain interior trim, and a Delco AM radio. This Z/28 Camaro is now offered with an NCRS Shipping Data Report, Broadcast Copy documentation, images from the refurbishment, spare parts, a car cover, and a Washington title in the seller’s name.
The 15″ Rally wheels were refinished in silver and wear trim rings, hub caps, and Goodyear Wide Tread GT white-letter tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and a full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The brakes, suspension components, and steering box were rebuilt as part of the refurbishment.
The seats were reupholstered using replacement seat foam and vinyl covers sourced from Legendary Auto Interiors. Interior equipment includes woodgrain trim on the dashboard and center console, a Hurst shifter, manually operated windows, seat belts for five occupants, front headrests, a glovebox, a heater, and a Delco AM radio. Replacement carpet, door panels, headliner, and sun visors were also sourced from Legendary Auto Interiors and replaced as part of the refurbishment. The seller notes the blower motor is noisy, and a rebuilt blower motor is included in the sale.
Rebuilt instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock with a modernized quartz movement. Additional gauges mounted in the center console display coolant temperature, battery status, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 302ci V8 was bored 0.030″ over and rebuilt using replacement cylinder heads. It is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, a single-wire pointless ignition system, finned valve covers, and an orange-painted block and cylinder heads. Additional refurbishment work included repainting the engine bay, rebuilding the hood hinges, and phosphate-plating the hood striker. The oil and filter were changed in May 2023.
The engine stampings are shown above. Additional stamps and casting numbers are pictured in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and 12-bolt rear axle housing a 4.10:1 Eaton limited-slip differential.
