This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was refurbished and modified between 2016 and 2018 with work that included repainting the body in Fathom Green as well as installing a BluePrint Engines 496ci V8 paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a cowl hood, an RS-style grille, front and rear spoilers, and halo-style headlights as well as an Edelbrock carburetor, a center console, Dakota Digital gauges, front disc brakes, and U.S. Mags 18″ wheels. This Z/28 coupe was purchased by the seller in 2021 and is now offered with refurbishment records and a Michigan title.
During restoration in 2018, the body was refinished in Fathom Green with white stripes following the replacement of steel body panels. Weatherstripping and trim components were replaced as well. An RS-style grille is installed along with retractable headlight covers concealing halo-style headlights. The seller notes paint imperfections around the exterior and that the headlight covers stick occasionally.
The U.S. Mags 18″ wheels feature gray centers and are mounted with 225/40 front and 275/40 rear BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 tires. Hotchkis suspension components are installed up front, and the seller notes that replacement leaf springs and Bilstein shocks are mounted out back. The car is equipped with power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes. The seller states that Hotchkis subframe connectors will accompany the car.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl along with coordinated door panels and carpets. Vintage Air climate control components are installed, although no air conditioning compressor is present. The seller states the door locks do not work.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames an analog clock along with a Dakota Digital speedometer and tachometer with inset gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Four auxiliary gauges are mounted ahead of the shifter. The digital odometer indicates approximately 1,700 miles, which is said to be the distance driven since the engine and transmission swap.
The BluePrint Engines 496ci stroker V8 was installed in 2018 and features an aluminum intake manifold, an Edelbrock carburetor, and an HEI distributor. The Be Cool aluminum radiator is accompanied by dual electric cooling fans, and an electric fuel pump is installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO-600 five-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with a 3.73:1 limited-slip differential. Full-length Hooker exhaust headers feed into a dual exhaust system with blocked-off cutouts.
