This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was acquired by the current owner in 2006, and the subsequent custom build was completed in 2011 and included modifying the interior, performing body and paint work, and installing a 7.0-liter dry-sump LS7 V8 linked to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The bodywork combines steel and carbon-fiber panels finished in BMW Azurite Black Metallic, and equipment includes Fikse 18” wheels, Ridetech adjustable coil-over shocks, an Art Morrison front subframe, a RideTech 4-link rear suspension setup, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with vented rotors as well as sequential LED taillights, Recaro front bucket seats upholstered in black leather, a DSE roll cage, a leather-wrapped C6 Corvette dashboard, push-button start, power windows, and an Alpine aftermarket stereo with an Infinity amplifier and Focal speakers. The car was featured at the 2011 SEMA Show and appeared in the May 2014 issue of Super Chevy magazine. This 1969 Camaro is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner in Tennessee with a California title.
Bodywork carried out by Best of Show Coachworks of Escondido, California included metal repairs and the installation of an Anvil Auto carbon-fiber hood and a replacement trunk lid, rear spoiler, upper cowl panel, radiator panel, and front bumper prior to a repaint in BMW Azurite Black Metallic. Camaro RS front fenders feature carbon-fiber braces, and the hood features Marquez Design polished adjustable hood stops. Other updates reported include side mirrors sourced from a second-generation Camaro as well as Pilkington replacement glass for all of the windows.
The door and trunk lock cylinders have been shaved, and portions of the exterior trim have been replaced with chrome or polished billet trim pieces. LED exterior lights have been installed along with Marquez Design sequential taillights with billet bezels. Since 2011, portions of the bodywork have reportedly been repainted as needed, and rust spots on the driver side door have been repaired.
Staggered-width Fikse Profil 5S 18” wheels wear 275/35 front and 315/30 rear Falken Azenis RT615K tires. An Art Morrison front subframe assembly utilizes Corvette C6 components, and DSE subframe connectors are installed. The RideTech 4-link rear suspension utilizes a MuscleBar rear sway bar and adjustable upper and lower links, and Ridetech three-way adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs are installed at all four corners. Braking is handled by four-wheel vented discs with a Wilwood master cylinder, Wilwood Superlite calipers, and stainless steel brake lines.
The interior was customized by Elegance Auto Interiors of Upland, California, and features front Recaro buckets, a rear bench seat, and a modified C6 Corvette dashboard assembly upholstered in black leather. Four-point harnesses are installed for front occupants, and a DSE roll cage with a removable harness bar is fitted. The seller notes that sound-deadening was added behind the leather-wrapped door panels and the headliner as well as underneath the carpets. Other equipment includes a suede headliner, Marquez Design door strikers and door-jamb vents, push-button start, power windows, a Vintage Air Gen IV Magnum climate-control system, and an Alpine stereo with an Infinity amplifier and Focal speakers. The air conditioning does not work.
The tilting and telescoping steering column was reportedly sourced from a C6 Corvette and holds a Momo steering wheel with an NRG removable hub. A C6 Corvette gauge cluster houses Speedhut gauges and shift lights, and the seller notes that the speedometer and odometer are not operational. The digital odometer indicates 22k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The engine bay was modified with a smoothed firewall and is home to a replacement 7.0-liter dry-sump LS7 V8 reportedly built by RPM Motors of Santa Clarita, California. The results of a 2014 WestTech dynamometer test can be viewed in the gallery, and components used in the engine build are said to include:

Shifting is through a Tremec Magnum XL six-speed manual transmission along with a Centerforce twin-disc clutch and a lightened steel flywheel. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an Oceanside Driveline 4” aluminum driveshaft, a Currie 9″ aluminum third member, a TruTrac limited-slip differential, and 31-spline Moser Engineering axles. The Rock Valley baffled stainless fuel tank is equipped with a high-volume fuel pump reportedly sourced from a Camaro ZL1/1LE, and the custom 3″ exhaust system uses a MagnaFlow X-pipe as well as Borla stainless steel mufflers.
The removed RS-style front grille and a replacement front lip spoiler are included in the sale along with a set of Retro-Electro RS headlights.
