This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was modified as a COPO tribute during previous ownership and was acquired by the seller’s late father in 2009. The car is finished in orange over a black interior, and power is supplied by a replacement 427ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and 12-bolt Positraction rear end. Additional equipment includes body-colored 14″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, front and rear spoilers, a cowl hood, a Hurst shifter, a dual exhaust system, and black vinyl and houndstooth cloth upholstery. This COPO tribute is offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of his father’s estate with an appraisal report and a clean Texas title.
The body was refinished in orange during prior ownership, and exterior features include fog lights, front and rear spoilers, a ZL2-style cowl hood, tinted windows, a driver-side mirror, chrome bumpers, and twin exhaust outlets.
Orange-painted 14″ steel wheels feature polished covers and are mounted with F70 Goodyear Polyglas tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the car is equipped with power steering.
The seats are upholstered in black vinyl with houndstooth cloth inserts, and the cabin features a black dash, carpeting, and door panels. Amenities include a defroster, a Hurst shifter, a glove box, and floor mats.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows just over 200 miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 427ci V8 was installed during previous ownership and is equipped with chrome valve covers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end. Additional photos of the underbody are included in the gallery.
An inspection report by Jerry MacNeish is provided in the gallery and states that the engine and transmission were re-stamped in order to match the chassis number shown above. A reproduction trim tag has also been installed, and photos of the title, VIN number, and partial chassis stamp under the cowl panel are provided below.
