This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was acquired by the seller in 2015 and subsequently fitted with a 489ci V8. The car is refinished in black with red stripes, and additional equipment includes a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, a 12-bolt rear end, a Holley Sniper EFI fuel injection system, an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake manifold, oval-port cylinder heads, a March Performance serpentine system, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, front coilovers, rear QA1 shocks, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, 17″ Torq Thrust-style wheels, RS-style hideaway headlights, front and rear spoilers, air conditioning, and a JVC stereo. This Camaro coupe is now offered with spare parts, a battery tender, engine build photos, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The body is refinished in black with red hood and trunk stripes. Features include aftermarket RS-style hideaway headlights, a cowl-induction hood, dual side mirrors, front and rear spoilers, and chrome bumpers. Rust is noted on the passenger-side C-pillar, there is a dent in the passenger-side door, and paint touch-ups and blemishes around the car are shown in the gallery below.
Staggered-width 17″ Torq Thrust-style wheels are wrapped in 245/45 front and 275/40 rear BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp 2 tires. The car is equipped with front coilovers, rear QA1 shocks, and power steering, and the steering box has been replaced. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner. Play is noted in the steering and the seller states that the brakes need to be adjusted or the pads replaced.
The cabin was refurbished and features aftermarket front bucket seats with side bolsters and a rear bench trimmed in black along with replacement carpeting. Interior appointments include front lap belts, an EFI controller, a JVC stereo, a center console, and air conditioning. A fire extinguisher is mounted in the front passenger footwell, and another is housed in the trunk along with an Optima battery, circuit breakers, and a battery cut-off switch.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel has cracks, and it frames a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer. A quarter of auxiliary gauges is housed in the center console. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 454ci V8 is said to have been stroked to displace 489ci and was installed in 2017. It is equipped with a Holley Sniper EFI fuel injection system, an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake manifold, oval-port cylinder heads, a March Performance serpentine system, a Summit Racing Multi-Spark Capacitive discharge ignition system, Hose Candy hoses, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The seller states that internal components include SRP forged 9.5 to 1 pistons, a forged steel 4340 crankshaft, Comp Cams Xtreme Energy hydraulic roller camshaft XR270HR, and Comp Cams Pro Magnum roller rocker arms.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end said to be fitted with a 4.11:1 limited-slip differential. The seller states that the car was previously fitted with an automatic transmission and that the five-speed was installed in 2014. An aftermarket dual exhaust system is fitted.
