This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe underwent a refurbishment in the mid-2010s that involved a repaint in red and interior work along with installation of a lowered suspension, a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission, and a dual exhaust system. The car was subsequently acquired by the seller in 2019 and fitted with a 355ci V8 built with Keith Black pistons, Eagle Specialty Products connecting rods, Brodix cylinder heads, an Elgin Industries roller camshaft, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and a Holley carburetor. The car wears a black vinyl roof cover along with hockey stick stripes and rides on 18″ American Racing wheels, QA1 adjustable front coilovers, and Detroit Speed rear drop leafs. Inside, the black vinyl–trimmed seats are accompanied by a wood-rimmed billet steering wheel, a Hurst shifter, and a retro-style stereo. Further equipment includes a cowl-induction hood and front and rear spoilers along with power steering, front disc brakes, Slide-A-Link traction bars, and a Positraction differential. This Camaro coupe is now offered with a collection of spare and removed parts and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted in its current red finish under previous ownership and wears a black vinyl roof cover. Black hockey stick stripes and SS badging have been added, and further details include a cowl-induction hood, front and rear spoilers, and chrome bumpers. The seller notes that the front-right fender is dented and recommends replacing the left-rear quarter window gasket. Close-up photos of various scratches and blemishes are presented in the gallery.
The 18″ American Racing wheels feature gray centers and polished rims. Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 tires measuring 255/45 are mounted at all four corners. The car is equipped with power steering and rides on QA1 coilovers up front along with Detroit Speed drop leafs with Slide-a-Link traction bars out back. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums actuated by a replacement master cylinder and a cadmium-coated booster. Tire rubbing is noted and the right-front wheel is bent.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl, which extends to the dash and door panels. A retro-style digital media receiver is connected to aftermarket speakers, and a replacement heater core, center console, and carpets have been added. The trunk floor has been re-coated, though the seller notes that rust is visible.
A wood-rimmed billet steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, while aftermarket auxiliary gauges sit ahead of a Hurst T-handle shifter. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 6k of which have been added under current ownership. The seller states that total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci Chevrolet V8 was bored 0.030″ over to displace 355ci and rebuilt by Matt’s Engines of Bloomington, Minnesota, before being installed in 2019. Noted equipment includes:
- Keith Black 10.5:1-compression hypereutectic pistons
- Eagle Specialty Products connecting rods
- Brodix Track 1 aluminum cylinder heads
- Elgin Industries roller camshaft
- Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold
- Holley carburetor
- Mallory ignition components
- High-torque mini starter
- One-piece rear main seal
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with a Positraction differential. The transmission is said to have been rebuilt and is fitted with a replacement flywheel as well as a 403 bellhousing. A powdercoated fuel tank and replacement fuel sending unit have been added, and the dual exhaust system is comprised of ceramic-coated Patriot long-tube headers flowing into an X-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers, and polished Pypes outlets. Leaks from the bellhousing and rear differential are noted.
