This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro began life as a six-cylinder coupe produced in Norwood, Ohio, and it was acquired by the seller in April 2019. The car was subsequently refurbished and modified, which included refinishing the exterior in black, retrimming the interior with TMI components, fitting Ridetech coilover suspension, disk brakes, and Fikse wheels, and installation of a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8, a 6L90E six-speed automatic transmission, and a narrowed Ford 9″ rear end with a Positraction differential. Other modifications include tubbed rear wheel wells, Dakota Digital instrumentation, Vintage Air climate control, a Lokar shifter, and more as described below. This modified Camaro is now offered with photos of the refurbishment, records, a dyno sheet, instruction and installation manuals for aftermarket parts, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
During the refurbishment replacement rear quarter panels were fitted and the body was subsequently refinished in black. Additional work included fitting replacement glass, seals, and chrome trim and bumpers, and features include a cowl induction hood, matte-black stripes, front and rear spoilers, and tinted windows.
Fikse 17″ wheels wear 255/40 BFGoodrich g-Force tires up front, and 315/35 rear tires are fitted within the mini-tubbed rear end. Disc brakes are fitted at all four corners, and the seller states that a quick-ratio steering box was also installed.
The interior features front and rear TMI seats clad in black upholstery with red stitching and microsuede bolster inserts, and matching treatments for the dashboard, center console, side panels, and trunk were also fitted. Replacement black carpeting is installed over an application of sound insulation, and additional features include a Lokar shifter, a three-spoke steering wheel, custom door and window hardware, and a climate control system sourced from Vintage Air.
Replacement Dakota Digital gauges are recessed within the stock openings and feature a digital odometer indicating that nearly 1,200 miles have been driven since completion of the build. Total mileage is unknown.
The supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 was sourced from a 2012 Camaro ZL1 and features tuning performed by Colorado Performance Unlimited of Brighton, Colorado. It is fitted with an aluminum radiator, black billet accessories, and exhaust headers linked to dual Borla mufflers. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a 6L90E six-speed automatic transmission and a narrowed Moser Ford 9″ rear fitted with a Positraction limited-slip differential and 3.55:1 gears. A dyno sheet from Colorado Performance Unlimited is provided in the gallery below, and the fluids were changed in April 2021.
The driveshaft was replaced, and further updates include Ridetech coilovers with adjustable shocks, a four-link rear end, and Hotchkis sway bars and subframe connectors.
Photos showing various stages of the refurbishment are also presented in the gallery, which includes an AutoCheck from the donor vehicle.
