This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible is said to have been acquired by the seller from the original owner in 1990 and was subsequently refurbished in 1991. Work is noted to have involved replacing the floor and quarter panels, repainting the body, and re-trimming the interior as well as rebuilding the 307ci Turbo-Fire V8 and two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The car features a white convertible soft top, a rear spoiler, and faux quarter-panel vents along with a Positraction differential, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, and 14″ Rally wheels. This Camaro convertible is now offered with an owner’s manual, spare parts, and transferable New York State registration in the seller’s name.
The body was removed from the frame and repainted orange following fitment of replacement quarter panels as part of the aforementioned 1991 refurbishment. A replacement white convertible soft top has been added. A rear spoiler, faux quarter-panel vents, 307 badging, and dual exhaust outlets are further details.
The 14″ Rally wheels are mounted with Firestone F70-14 Wide Oval white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front bucket seats and rear bench were re-trimmed in white vinyl and are accompanied by replacement black carpets. Equipment includes a horseshoe-style shifter, a cabin heater, a JVC cassette stereo, and lap belts. The floor pans were replaced as part of the refurbishment.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The 307ci Turbo-Fire L14 V8 was factory rated at 200 horsepower. The engine is said to have been rebuilt as part of the refurbishment completed in 1991.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and an optional Positraction differential, both of which were reportedly rebuilt at the time of the engine work.
